PNP URGED TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE IN ANTI-KIDNAPPING DRIVE(NR 14-135)

With The directive of SILG Mar Roxas, the PNP has vowed to intensify its campaign against kidnapping and other organized crimes. Aside from the increase in checkpoints around Metro Manila and the intensification of police visibility, the PNP assures the public that it will address the reported kidnapping cases and that it will further strengthen its anti-criminality campaign all throughout the country.

The PNP asks for the support and cooperation of the local government units and other law enforcement agencies to fight the kidnapping incidents and other organized crimes in the country. Information exchange and mutual support from these agencies are vital end the incidence of kidnapping.

The PNP appreciates the forums organized by different civic groups in educating the public about the persona; safety. Thus, the PNP further encourages all civic and sectoral groups to help the PNP in educating the public to be socially responsible for their own personal security.

Furthermore, the public’s cooperation is likewise very vital in preventing crime in the community. Thus, the PNP asks the public to refrain from spreading false information that may instead cause alarm and confusion and to only provide the police with relevant and timely information through social media such as: PNP NHQ-Twitter account- @ PNPhotline; Facebook Page- Philippine National Police; while for PRO ARMM Social Media Accounts- @proarmm (Twitter); Bantayan ang Pulis ng PRO ARMM (Facebook Page).
